A Five Hour Park Excursion
Weekly Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 8am -1 pm
And Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday: 1:30pm – 6:30pm
Come explore the fascinating story of the science behind the scenery through the eyes of a wildlife researcher. We’ll travel 32 miles into Denali National Park to learn about Denali’s wolves, their role in the sub-arctic ecosystem and the management issues facing the National Park Service. At several stops and on a short walk, we will gather evidence of wolf presence in the Igloo Forest area. Our findings will assist park managers as they make key decisions regarding wildlife protection and public safety. Using radio telemetry, we will search for wolves unseen and explore several wildlife travel corridors for evidence of animal tracks – clues left on the landscape by passing predators and their prey.
• Transportation to and from hotel sites, the visitor center and the railroad depot.
• All Park entrance fees and transportation costs included
• Use of Binoculars
• Beverage and Snack provide
